What’s the job?
In the Parts team at CLAAS Harvest Centre - Ashburton we are looking for someone to provide exceptional customer service as well as assist our workshop team with parts for our agricultural equipment range, which includes premium European brands such as CLAAS and AMAZONE.

You’ll be;
  • Dealing with daily parts enquiries from customers both via phone and face to face
  • Talking to customers that may not have a serial number, but asking the right questions to find the right part first time.
  • Collaborating with your parts colleagues on stock control and with the workshop to provide parts for repair jobs.
  • Providing estimates, selling parts to customers and arranging for delivery.

Who are we?
Established in 1975, we’re a family-owned wholesaler and retailer of market leading combines, foragers, hay equipment, seeders, spreaders and sprayers for global brands such as CLAAS and AMAZONE. We have 33 dealers across New Zealand and Australia with support offices in Christchurch, Melbourne and Perth.

What’s in it for you?
  • We’re part of the largest privately-owned farm machinery distributor in Australasia and we’re a stable business having been in operation for nearly 50 years.
  • We have a well-equipped and well-organised parts department and have access to extensive knowledge and resources both on site, in our Christchurch warehouse and internationally with our suppliers, giving you all you need to learn quickly.
  • We provide extensive training on and off site to set our people up for success.

What are we looking for?
  • A team player and the ability to build good working relationships.
  • A Class 1 Drivers License and experience working in parts, ideally in the automotive or Ag sector.
  • A commitment to providing exceptional customer service whilst managing customer expectations.
  • An interest in solving problems by using tried and tested techniques as well as thinking outside the box.
  • A background working with parts, inventory or stock management systems.

We pride ourselves on being a family business, that works with family-owned suppliers and delivers to families on the farm. That purpose is supported by our values of being in it together, fronting up and to keep growing.
